Everything was perfect, and they even let us check out two hours later. The room was very clean and had all the equipment we needed. Nice location, with a convenience store and drugstore nearby, plus plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The room had a modern, stylish design, and I really liked the place. It was the best of the three accommodations I stayed in during my most recent trip to Japan in September 2023, so I’d still give it five stars. The check-in system was a bit of a nightmare and took too long. It could all have been handled online. Checking in was hard because I had a child with a disability who needed her feed and water when we arrived.

The apartment is in a quiet area, less than a 10-minute walk from Kanazawa train station. It’s a small studio turned into a fully functional home for up to seven people, though that would be a squeeze. We were four and quite comfortable. There’s a full kitchen and bath, laundry and dryer, and a TV, but no dining table or living room area. The kitchen’s interior design is very nice, and the apartment is generally well maintained. We did find dust and hairs between the cover sheets, possibly from laundry. Registration is all self-service at the entrance door.

The room was fine, and the facilities were good. It’s right by 7-Eleven and about an 8 minute walk from Kanazawa station. But the layout was odd: two beds were fold-outs in the living room, so there was nowhere to sit, while another room sat empty with two rolled-up futons in it. The hallways were hot and smelled bad, and I found a cockroach on the stairs. Getting inside was a hassle too. All four guests had to upload passport photos, which should have been handled online before arrival. I’ve never run into that at another Airbnb.
