The hotel feels a little out of the way, but that helped make the onsen stay quiet and feel authentically Japanese. The food was great, especially breakfast, with enough options to try both familiar dishes and local specialties.

The onsen was good, and we really enjoyed the kaiseki dinner. Breakfast was a different story: it was packed, and getting food from the line was difficult. Our tatami room felt cramped for five people, with no space to even open our suitcases. The rooms are dated, and ours had no bath. There is a kids' play area downstairs.

A comfortable place to stay, especially if you're driving. They have shops and information about nearby sights, and both dinner and the hot springs were lovely. Kotone-no-ne hot spring was particularly special.

The food was impeccable, at dinner and breakfast. My room was nice, there was plenty of parking, and I was satisfied with the stay.
