Guest House Bed&Bicycle

I stayed in a private room and really enjoyed it. The traditional interior is cute and welcoming, and there’s a kotatsu. It was very clean for a share house, and the heating worked well. The host had even laid out and warmed the futon before bedtime. Since the guest house is a little hard to find, he picked me up at the station. He was so sweet and speaks great English. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in southern Osaka.

Yuya kept checking that I was doing okay on both tours and took some amazing photos. We went on a bicycle tour through rural Osaka, and to Kongo mountain, which he offered to show me after I mentioned wanting to go. I had an amazing time on both. I also visited his guest house before the tours. It was very clean and conveniently located. If you need tours and accommodation around Osaka, Yuya is your guy! :)

The four-hour scenic bike ride has just a few uphill sections, and city bikes are available too. I was nervous on my first road bike ride, especially going down a steep slope. On one short, narrow stretch, Yuya caught me and my bike with his arms open and literally saved my life. He’s such a ray of sunshine, friendly, helpful, and fluent in English. The place was super clean and tidy, with all the amenities we needed. It’s only a half-hour train ride from Namba, and highly recommended if you want a different experience.

The host was really passionate about hiking and shared a lot of his experiences and advice about the Osaka countryside with us. Being there was a great experience.
