The Regent House

The wagyu dinner was especially delicious. I stayed at this villa with my wife in summer while climbing the Shirane mountain, and we'd like to come back again.

Breakfast and dinner were included, and both were absolutely delicious. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the service was outstanding. A great experience, recommended.

We brought our two cats 🐈 and stayed a one-minute drive from Marunuma Kogen Ropeway Station. Even over the Obon holiday it was cool enough that we didn't need air conditioning. The meals were healthy and filling, though a little bland. The owner cares for rescue cats, and their kindness was soothing. We look forward to visiting again.

Lots of little birds came to our window in the morning, which made us happy. The floor heating kept the room gently warm, and it had been cleaned so carefully. The whole place felt comfortable, and that attention to detail seemed to reflect the owners' personalities. The coffee was fragrant and tasty, made with Paulista's special beans. I'd seen comments that it might be weak, but that wasn't my experience. The food was fantastic, every dish delicious. From the moment we came through the door, the owners' warmth made us feel at ease. We were able to relax our whole stay, and next time I'd like to stay for several nights.
