The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had teppanyaki for dinner, and it was delicious. The garlic rice was the best I've ever had.

I still have some Châteraisé points left, so I'd like to come back in the fall. I used points for this stay, and 700 points for a room with breakfast was a great deal. The room was a bit small and dated, but clean. Looking out at the golf course and surrounding forest was very calming. The resort has a golf course and ski slopes, and this time of year is great for golf, with the lawns beautifully maintained. At check-in I got a Châteraisé confection and ice cream as a welcome treat, and there were sweets in the room as well. Meals are served at the golf facility's restaurant. The chef's recommended dinner course combined Japanese and Western cooking nicely, and I recommend it. Châteraisé wine was reasonably priced, smooth, and tasty. I couldn't finish my dessert cake, so I asked to take it back to the hotel. They kindly wrapped the plate and fork in plastic wrap. The walk from the restaurant to the hotel takes about 2-3 minutes, and the breeze afterward felt lovely.

The scenery around Kashipo is beautiful, and it's peaceful there. The breakfast buffet was tasty enough that I might go back, but the shower left me with a low impression overall. The hot water pressure was terrible. It took a long time to fill the bathtub, and when I tried switching between hot and cold to set the temperature, only cold water came out. After many attempts, I got lukewarm water by turning the hot tap all the way up and slowly adding a little cold water. With such weak pressure, washing my hair and rinsing off took ages. If it was already like that at the end of May, I can't imagine managing in winter. I stayed in Kashipo, and the room itself was okay.

The price is low, though the quality isn't great. Both the washing area and the tub in the large communal bath were lukewarm, and the chlorine smell was so strong that I smelled like an old swimming pool afterward. I wonder if they cut back a lot in winter, since they mainly serve golf customers.

We were here for a ski trip, and breakfast at the ski center made it convenient to get onto the slopes the next morning. Chateraise sweets and ice cream are available until 5pm. The building is old, but the room had air conditioning and something like a stove, so it stayed warm. The unit bath was bigger than one in a business hotel, and the toilet and sink were comfortable to use. Dinner was a buffet at the nearby golf course clubhouse. The selection was limited, and because it was cold inside the venue, all the food was cold except for the items being kept warm. Wine costs extra. Some front desk staff were friendly, though others couldn't answer our questions.
