The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and it’s about a ten-minute walk from a couple of well-connected stations. In the dorm, each bed felt like its own little room, with a comfortable mattress, good storage underneath, and enough privacy from the rest of the room. We also liked hanging out in the common area, where we could play Nintendo 64. I’d definitely recommend it.

I tried both the dorm and a private room, and liked them equally. The dorm has enough separation to feel private, and both spaces were clean and quiet. If you're on your own, I'd happily recommend booking a dorm. I'd come back, and I've already recommended it to friends.
I’ve stayed here twice, each time in a private double with tatami mats and two futons. The washrooms were clean, there was plenty of hot water, and the staff were friendly. They appreciate it when you try speaking Japanese, though their English is good too. It’s closer to a minimal, urban hotel than a typical hostel, at about half the nightly price of a hotel, but you should still expect hostel level rooms and amenities. Finding it takes a little attention: it’s on a small street beside the main road, with a sign out front. The place isn’t accessible for people with mobility needs, since you have to use stairs to reach reception and the rooms. I enjoyed both visits and would recommend it. Feel free to message me with questions.
The thin walls meant we could often hear the neighbours, and the floors squeaked when we walked around. Still, the bathrooms were clean, and we liked having our own tatami and futons in the private room. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood, not too far from the main tourist areas. The long stairs could make hauling heavy luggage upstairs difficult. I’d give it 7/10.
The dorm beds have curtains for privacy, and the room was lovely and quiet at night. Now and then, noise carried up from the common area on the first floor. The showers were nice and the staff friendly. It’s a new design hotel that also offers budget dorm stays, though the location takes a little effort: the nearest metro station is about a 10 minute walk away.
