The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location is convenient. The complimentary breakfast may seem simple, but it was delicious and refreshing.

For a Saturday on the first day of a three-day weekend, 7,000 yen was cheap. I knew the facilities were old when I booked, so that part didn’t bother me. Considering it was half the market price, it was about what I expected. I only went there to sleep, so the room’s lights not working didn’t bother me much. There was a sign saying they wouldn’t turn on, and all I had was a standing lamp. The worst part was a loud buzzing sound, like a broken speaker, that continued until morning. I’d been drinking and managed to sleep, but sober I might have been kept awake. If you book, bring earplugs just in case. Breakfast was free. I heard the menu never changes, which is a nice touch. But the cook kept watching me get rice and salad from the back. Someone who put a pot lid in the wrong place was scolded with, "Put that over here." They also require paper cups for coffee and glasses for tea, as the wall sign says, and a guest who tried pouring coffee into a glass got told off. I mean, wouldn’t it be nice if someone at least said "Good morning" when you walked into the breakfast area? The hair dryer was just a basic one with a weak breeze, so bring your own if you want to use a proper dryer.
