The room was small but fine. There was a strong cigarette smell around reception, with a smoking room close by. The hotel is next to Kitakami station, but on the other side of the Shinkansen tracks and Tenshochi park, so getting there takes an extra five minutes through the underground passage.
The service was poor. I booked a non-smoking room, but they put me in a smoking room when I arrived. When I complained, the receptionist said there were no rooms left. Then why was it listed on the booking website? I’m pregnant, and the smell was unbearable.
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was dirty, and the worker was very rude. They couldn’t speak Japanese well, and their English was even worse. If you’re staying in Kitakami, pick another hotel. I wish I could give it negative five stars!
It’s cheap, but the rooms are old and the sink barely worked. Still, it’s cheap, so, yolo.
A comfortable, clean hotel, and the breakfast was good too.
