The family who run the Ryokan are so kind, and the breakfasts were delicious, with something different each day. My room was comfortable, with air conditioning and heating when needed. There’s also a coffee machine available in the morning, plus a fridge, microwave, and washing machine if you need them. They’ve thought of a lot. I’d happily recommend staying here, and hope I can come back someday.

This family-run ryokan has a lovely, friendly landlady. When trains were cancelled because of the heaviest snow in several years, her son, Katuma, arranged transport for us.

Rooms here are traditional Japanese "washitsu," with tatami floors, and there’s a Japanese bath open at night and again in the morning. Breakfast comes with the stay and was superb. The price is quite reasonable for this kind of service, compared with places near big cities or tourist attractions. It’s a hidden gem in Kitakata, Aizu, though it can only be booked through Japanese sites like Rakuten.

The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the Onsen bath was wonderfully relaxing. The rooms are spacious and have the essentials, including Wi-Fi, TV, CA, and towels. It really feels like staying in a Japanese home. An excellent ryokan.

A lovely place for a more traditional hotel stay. The staff are kind, the breakfast is delicious, and the bath is amazing. I highly recommend it.
