Nishitetsu Inn Kurosaki

I stay here when I come to Kitakyushu to see my doctor. The lobby is clean and small, just what you'd expect at a Japanese business hotel. Breakfast is pretty good for the price, with Japanese and Western options at the buffet. The staff have been very helpful. I've seen them struggle to assist people who don't speak Japanese, but they seemed to be trying their best. The non-smoking rooms I've had were very small and dated. I had to reach the A/C on the headboard. I appreciate that every room has an air purifier, but the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, or maybe cozy? They only clean every other day, though fresh towels are left at the door daily, which I didn't mind. You can ask for extra cleaning. The lobby has toothbrushes, brushes, washcloths, razors, tea bags, and free hot and cold tea and coffee. Because of my disabling condition, a convenient location is a must for me, and getting here from the airport is easy. There's a direct bus from Kitakyushu AP, which has direct flights from Tokyo. From Fukuoka AP, it's two trains, and the trip is a bit far if you don't take the express train from Hakata station. Starbucks and Tully’s are very close by, which is great for coffee drinkers. The rooms could use some improvements, but I keep coming back for the location and friendly staff. If you like large public bath(daiyokujou- an onsen style big bathtub), you might enjoy it. If you want more modern, updated rooms, I'd suggest trying another hotel.
