Guesthouse Wagaranchi Kai

I stayed here again in 2024 and still loved the location. It’s a traditional Japanese house near the old shopping area, with its own garden, a wall around the property, and parking. There’s plenty of privacy, and I’d recommend it. Some acquaintances stayed here too. When I first visited in 2019, I also appreciated how spacious it was, how it had been renovated in keeping with its original style, and how well it worked for a group.

The host was warm and helpful, and I had a really nice stay. Thanks for having me for the night.

We had a great time with the traditional house and even its impressive gate. The garden and veranda were lovely, too. The kitchen and fridge had plenty of utensils and seasonings, so cooking was easy, and there was a barbecue grill as well. They also had a Famicom, board games, and snacks, which gave the place a nostalgic feel we really enjoyed. The manager was very kind, and we’d like to come back someday. Thanks for taking us in on such short notice that day.

You get the whole renovated old house for your group, with only one group staying per day. There are two Japanese-style rooms, a garden, and a roomy veranda, and the place has a nice atmosphere. The bathroom and toilet are modern and new. You can have a BBQ there, though it seems they don’t take guests during Obon.
