It was my first local stay in Kure, for the curry festival, and I found the rates high because it was a public holiday. Still, the convenient location, roomy room, and comfortable beds made it worthwhile. I expect it to cost much less off season, and sometimes Rakuten travel has bargain discounts.

We had a comfortable four-night stay in this grand, old-fashioned hotel. Our ninth-floor bedroom was spacious and had a good view, and the bathroom’s bathtub was comfortable. The staff were extremely hospitable and polite. Breakfast comes as a set menu, with three choices: Continental, Japanese, or a regional take on the Japanese option. The hotel has all the necessary amenities and a prime spot in Kure, right beside the train and bus station. It’s a landmark in its own right.

A decent place in Kure, with a spacious room that worked well for spending a few days. The facilities feel dated and lack modern style, with an old-time smell to them. There are a few restaurants in the hotel, and it’s right in front of Lure station. Could be a good fit for you. Enjoy!
