Ikuji Onsen TANAKAYA

The meals and authentic Japanese-style hostel experience were really good. Yuri gave great service and explained everything clearly in English. I came to Toyama, including Himi and Kurobe, with a bike for the first time and had a good experience. I do wish there were a cold bath in the public shower, though. If I have time next year, I’ll definitely return, maybe with a friend.

We spent one night here and it was perfect. The garden view was beautiful, and our room felt spacious and relaxing. The staff were attentive, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The onsen was lovely. An amazing Japanese ryokan, highly recommend staying here.

My younger sister, my daughter, her seven-year-old son, and I spent two very peaceful days at this quiet onsen inn. The garden covers 5,000 square meters and is breathtaking, while the Japanese-style rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The seafood and seasonal Japanese dishes were fresh and delicious, with a local touch. Friendly, courteous staff made us feel warmly welcomed, almost as if we were at home with the innkeepers. If you visit Unazuki in Hokuriku, this is a place not to miss. It’s easy to reach: take the Hokuriku Shinkansen and then a short taxi ride, or use the inn’s excellent shuttle service.

A pleasant, quiet, secluded stay off the beaten track. The staff were helpful. I’d choose the upgraded room, and maybe the upgraded meal next time. It’s best suited to people who already know onsen ryokan stays. It’s not Noboribetsu.
