Shiki Resort Aisonet Kusatsu

We stayed over the New Year holidays, and the small outdoor bath was a real treat. It’s a hot spring, and with only six groups staying there, we had it to ourselves and could relax. Dinner was Italian, and the house wine was tasty, easy to drink, and not astringent. The inn has about six rooms and sits in a quiet spot around a 15-minute walk from Kusatsu city center. One thing to know if you’re walking there in winter: the slopes can be frozen, so chain spikes or shoes with good grip are a good idea. It’s a very nice inn.

Being a little away from Yubatake makes it wonderfully quiet, and the hot spring and calm atmosphere were soothing. My mother and child were delighted with the spacious room with a second floor. Thank you very much.

The room loses a star for me because I could hear children stomping on the maisonette stairs next door. Even so, the whole family was very happy with our mid-February stay. The place is a little old, but well kept, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the hospitality was excellent. The outdoor bath fits up to four people and draws directly from the Bandaiko hot spring, without added water or heating. It was extremely pleasant. We’d love to return another time.

The room was spacious, and I got to relax in the outdoor bath, which uses natural hot spring water. It was my first visit to Kusatsu Onsen, and the staff kindly pointed out the way on a map, so I found Yubatake without getting lost. Thank you!
