Everything felt just right, from the house and the accommodation to every little amenity. The location is great, outside busy Kyoto but still within walking distance. There’s a train stop nearby, along with two big food stores and a few small coffee shops we came across. Amazing.

A lovely house in Kyoto, with a nice mix of Western beds and traditional ones, plus a Japanese garden. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathroom comfortable, and there were two Japanese toilets. Grocery shops and public transport are nearby.

We stayed for a few weeks and really enjoyed it. There’s what you need for either a short or longer visit, and whenever we had a problem, the hosts helped us out. The little garden is a nice extra.
