We stayed at five hotels on our trip, and this one was easily my favorite, mostly because of the owner, whose name I’m sorry I forgot, and Milan. They were both so friendly and helpful, and made us feel really welcome. Milan also suggested a restaurant where we had the best yakitori we’ve ever eaten. The room was clean and had enough space for two. It came with a microwave and washing machine. We didn’t use the washer, but the microwave was handy for heating up konbini food. Lots of attractions and restaurants were walkable, including dotonbori, shinsaibashi, and shinsekai. If we come back to Kyoto, we’ll stay here again.

We miss this place already. The staff were so kind and hospitable, and made us feel very welcome. My boyfriend and I had the best room of our Japan trip: spacious, with a comfy bed and a washing machine right in the unit. The location was perfect too. 100/10, would recommend.

We went as a family in January. The hotel and area were quiet, and the room was clean. It’s close to food markets, convenience stores, and regular shops. Front desk staff were friendly and gave us helpful recommendations. The washing machine was handy, and although there’s no dryer, the bathroom has a drying function. The toilet was smaller than in other hotels.

The owner is often around and was really kind and helpful. When we left, he even walked with us to the main street to hail a taxi. The staff speak English well, and they helped us call a restaurant for a last-minute booking. We’ll stay here again next time we visit Japan. Our room had more space than the other hotels we stayed in, plus an in-unit washing machine, which made doing laundry easy. You can hang clothes in the shower room and use its heated fan to dry them. There’s also a rooftop where you can have a drink or snack and take in the view. Thanks for a lovely stay.
