Kyo Oyado Anzu

There was plenty of room for our group of three adults and four kids, with seven beds upstairs in the sleeping area. The decor had a rustic Japanese feel, and I really liked it, though we had to watch the children around all the decorative pieces. For adults, it could feel like staying in an elegant Japanese home. Downstairs had a kitchen, dining area, toilet, and washroom. It felt compact but thoughtfully laid out, with more amenities than I'm used to in hotels in Taiwan. The separate toilet and washroom are typical of Japanese guesthouses, unlike what I'm used to in Taiwan. The kitchen had the usual dishes and cookware, plus a coffee machine. After sightseeing, a shower and a cup of coffee were a nice way to unwind. There were four high chairs and a TV at the dining table. The heated washroom and bathtub temperature controls were useful in winter, and the tub was big enough for an adult to soak comfortably. The stairs between floors were very steep, likely because space is tight, so take care if you have children or older people with you. There isn't much room to spread out luggage either, as Japanese guesthouses tend to be small.
