Kyoto Yamashina Hotel Sanraku

The staff were so kind, and I had a great view from my room. It’s a lovely hotel right by the train line, with stairs leading straight down to the station. I stayed three nights in Kyoto. It isn’t near the main tourist areas, but I’d happily stay here again on my next trip.

Aoki, the English-speaking receptionist, made our three-night stay much easier. She patiently showed my elderly cousin how to use the key card, then carefully filled out the hotel and next hotel addresses on the shipping labels for every bag we sent ahead. We’re very thankful for her hospitality. There are restaurants and shops near the station right outside, though no tourist attractions. I also enjoyed the women-only hot and wet sauna area and its shampoo bar. A few European guests were very loud and rude, but the staff stayed professional and handled their questions patiently. Excellent service.

The onsen was great, and the room had all the amenities I needed. Front desk staff were so polite that I felt welcome and respected. It’s right beside Yamashina JR and subway station, making it easy to get to Kyoto and nearby cities. I’m glad I found this hotel and enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended!

Getting to Yamashina station is easy, with underground access, and it’s only one stop from Kyoto Station. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast buffet was satisfying, and I loved the beauty products and ladies’ spa. The hotel itself is great quality. Thank you!
