It's a renovated Kyoto tenement house for private use, and pets are welcome. They have plenty of pet supplies, plus a handy foot-washing spot right by the entrance. The rooms have a lovely finish, and there's a cypress bath. Parking is needed, as you'd expect in Kyoto, but they provide a 2,000 yen subsidy. I'd like to use the place for a few nights as a base for exploring Kyoto.
