Dinner was excellent, and there was plenty of it. The beef was wagyu and really tender. We stayed in a nicely decorated, very clean room with space for six to eight people, so it felt roomy. The outdoor spas were great, with different kinds of tubs to try. The male and female areas switch over, which made it possible to see all the spas during one stay.

They gave me a warm, authentic welcome and looked after me throughout my stay. Because of my personal condition, I have a strict diet, and they did their best to accommodate it. The food was delicious and nicely presented. My room was nice and had a private onsen bath. The outdoor onsen had a lovely atmosphere and several bath options, though the view was limited.

The old entrance doesn't prepare you for how lovely it is inside, or for the great hospitality. Our room was clean, newly furnished, and comfortable after a long road trip. The receptionists, room attendants, and waitresses spoke little English, but were enthusiastic and did their best to help. Booking can be a bit tricky. A hint: book directly through their webpage to get the most out of the place.
