Guest house daisho oshiro asobi

We spent five nights at Guest House Daisho, and the location made exploring Matsue easy. Matsue Castle is two blocks away, the historical sites are close by, and it was a pleasant 15-minute walk to Matsue Station, with coffee shops, stores, and restaurants along the way. A bus stop is only a few feet away, too. Matsumoto-san and his wife were welcoming and accommodating. The female dorm was comfortable, clean, and air-conditioned, and I made good use of the kitchen and laundry. There's parking as well. They also run Ramen Tonteki Daisho down the street. It was convenient to have such a good place to eat after long days out, and the food was delicious. I always found it hard to choose what to order. The main thing to keep in mind is the steep staircase to the second floor, which could be difficult for some people. Those wanting a hotel experience might also prefer somewhere else. For a comfortable, relaxed stay in Matsue, though, Guest House Daisho worked really well for me.

There are about three local bus stops within a five-minute walk, so getting there was easy. The free laundry and drying were a big plus, too. I had a wonderful stay and was really grateful to the kind hosts. I don't understand why someone left a one-star rating.

The host was excellent and very helpful, and his restaurant is good and well priced. The place itself is fine.

A lovely place to stay, and the master was so kind. Nice spot! ✨
