There are several places to eat within walking distance, including an amazing kaiten sushi spot down the road. A 7-11 and drug store are right next door too. With plenty of parking and a public onsen in the hotel, it's an easy choice if you're driving, and getting around the Matsue area is pretty smooth. The rooms were comfortable, and I had a really great two-night stay. I'd happily stay here again when I'm in the region.

The room was quiet and spacious, so I never felt boxed in. The bed and pillow, though, were rock hard. You can hear the bathroom vent, but adjust its strength from the room. Staff were nice. They didn't speak English to me, and I understand Japanese okish, but the information is also in English and they could speak English if needed. For my room cleaning choice, I got two coins to exchange for a soft drink at the vending machine, with an alcohol coin as another option. There's free coffee and a printer in the lobby. I rented a car for the first time and found plenty of parking. I didn't use the onsen, but women get a special key for the women's area. The TV shows onsen and laundry machine availability. Breakfast is a buffet that changes a little each day. I mixed this hotel up with the one with the same name in Matsue, which was my mistake. The nearest train station is a 25-30 minute walk away. I couldn't find a WiFi password for the room network. I think the toilet leaks, since the bathmat stays very wet even when I haven't showered; when I moved it, I saw a strip of water coming from the toilet. The elevator unfortunately smells of smoke because there's a smoking room on the first floor.

It's still clean and fairly new, and the parking lot and rooms feel roomier than the ones on the Matsue Station side. If you're driving, getting to the city center is easy, so I'd come back. I just wish the breakfast selection and amenities were a bit better.

I was there on a business trip and came away very satisfied. The hotel is just off the highway exit, with a large parking lot that's easy to get into. I especially liked the breakfast buffet. You can check the crowd level in real time on a live camera, and I was glad to see broccoli on the salad bar, which other hotels often don't have. After drinking too much the night before, the clam soup hit the spot. The restaurant staff were attentive and greeted me warmly. A great business hotel.
