The view was lovely, and the staff were very nice. The cuisine is a great fit if you enjoy traditional Japanese food. A really good hotel.

The staff are friendly, and there’s an onsen here that you can use in the morning or evening.

It’s a quiet hot spring spot, a little way out from Matsumoto city. The building is somewhat old, but it’s well cared for. The bath was hot, though you could add more water if you wanted. Meals came out in order on elegant dishes, and the food was delicious. They set the rice on the table for you to serve yourself. Breakfast was a relaxed meal in a semi-private room, and the traditional inn atmosphere was nice.

The staff were nice, and I didn’t have any particular complaints. The communal bath’s outdoor section was small, with barely a view of the sky, and there wasn’t a clock in the room. The automatic doors don’t work, so it seems you can leave late at night. For the price, I think it’s a reliable place to stay.
