The room they gave us was huge, but we booked for four thinking the brewery was operating. Turns out it wasn't, which was a letdown. We had to eat in town or buy groceries to cook in the room's kitchen.

The rooms were excellent for cleanliness and convenience. It's about a 40-minute drive from downtown Matsuyama, and there aren't any convenience stores or amenities within walking distance.

I spent a relaxed evening having tea in the first-floor taproom, right by the coast, watching the sun set. The woman on staff was really friendly, and we had a lovely chat. Driftwood-like art decorates the taproom, and the lighting made the ocean feel even closer. I tried Marco Polo, a tea I'm not usually familiar with. The shop seems to select its teas carefully, and plans to add more of those teas to the menu soon. I'm looking forward to that. Next time, I'll pick up a bottle of craft beer to take home.

The Japanese Pepper Saison was a refreshing summer beer, just what you'd expect from a Saison. I would've liked it a little spicier. The Creamie IPA was sweeter and hazier, and that sweetness wasn't really for me. This is both a lodging place and a home-brewed taproom, but it's quite far from the city center. There are only light snacks like potato chips, so it's better to eat beforehand. JR Iyo-Hojo Station is a bit of a walk away; taking the Hojo Line bus from Matsuyama City Station is easier.

The brewery has spacious, stylish rooms, and glass walls let you see the brewing tanks. It looks like they make their beer in four 500-liter tanks. This new place opened in July 2022, right by the sea, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a beer in a beautiful setting. As of August 2022, they had two original beers, Milkshake IPA and Rosemary Saison. Both were polished and seemed promising. Iyo-Hojo Station is the nearest stop, but it's a bit of a walk, so a taxi from the station may be the better choice. There's plenty of parking too, so driving is an option if you have a designated driver. The brewery also has an attached guesthouse, so it seems you can stay overnight and enjoy the beer.
