There’s no bathroom on the accommodation’s second floor, which makes it cold and inconvenient in winter. A fishing harbor is only about a five-minute walk away, with lovely views of the sea at sunset and the mountains at sunrise. Kasuga-ji Temple is nearby too.

The building is old, but it’s been almost completely renovated and felt comfortable. I liked the stylish living-room chandelier, and the floor creaks a little without being bothersome. We found cups and dishes, a hairdryer, toothbrushes, towels (bath towels only), and basic disposable slippers at the entrance. There was no hair iron, so women should bring one. I didn’t see a washing machine, so I don’t think laundry can be done there. Upstairs are three rooms, each with two single beds, six total. There are also two futon sets in the downstairs living room. The entrance sign said the capacity was six, though no permit was displayed, so I couldn’t confirm the exact number. It seemed like a reasonable number of guests could stay. There was parking for about two cars next to the entrance of Kasuga-dera Temple on the Awaji Pilgrimage route, but it might be hard to find if you arrive late at night! I was confused about where to park because there were no signs inside explaining house rules or parking, so I hope this helps. There was also no business license displayed, so it wasn’t clear whether this was a hotel or private lodging facility. (^-^*) Lemo Lemo♪
