With only two rooms, this small inn felt less like a regular place to stay and more like visiting friends or family. We made lovely memories there. The natural surroundings were beautiful, and we could look at the stars through the skylight before waking to roosters in the morning. There aren't restaurants nearby, so it's best to have dinner before you check in. Breakfast was delicious, home style cooking. The innkeepers were so kind and friendly, and I'd definitely like to come back.

There are only a few rooms, so it gets booked up fast on weekends and during busy seasons. I'd reserve early. The prices are very reasonable, and the guesthouse has a warm, homey feel. Dinner isn't served, so you'll need to eat out. The staff can suggest places, which is reassuring if you don't know Habu Port. Just check restaurant opening hours and enjoy the local food. Since the inn is outside the town center, I'd recommend renting a car.

I booked after reading the reviews, and they were kind enough to keep my luggage before check-in. They even showed me to my room and let me change into my swimsuit, which was a big help. My daughter and I love birds, so we were delighted by all the artwork and the birds in the garden. She's in sixth grade, and she was even more excited about the cute room than I'd expected: “I've always wanted to stay in a room like this!” and “This is the best room I've ever stayed in!!” I was happy to spot shooting stars through the skylight too. I also bought a cute wool felt Japanese long-tailed tit as a souvenir. I'll treasure it. Please come visit us again when you come to Oshima!
