I booked the boat-shaped plan with spiny lobster because it was cheap, so I didn't expect much. It turned out way better than I thought, lol. If you take a meal plan, show up hungry. The sashimi was fresh, everything tasted great, and there was so much food. The bath was small, but the hot spring warmed me right through and felt wonderful. I wish it had been open in the morning too. There's no fridge in the room, and even a shared one in the hallway would've been useful. Those two things would've made it five stars.

We watched the sun set over the Pacific with the ocean right in front of us. The fisherman served us freshly caught seafood on a boat-shaped platter.

The flowers we took home as a souvenir, I think they're called stock, are still blooming beautifully two weeks later. That was a lovely extra. Dinner was great too: my wife tried golden-eyed snapper shabu-shabu for the first time and loved it, while I had the simmered golden-eyed snapper, which was excellent. The guesthouse has a stunning view. The futon and pillows were hard, as is common at guesthouses, so I hope they can improve that if possible.

The building is old, but the toilets have been renovated and are clean. I liked the atmosphere, more like a Showa-era fisherman's lodge than a stylish inn. The ocean is right there, and we could relax to the sound of the waves. Dinner was so lavish we couldn't finish it: grilled abalone, sashimi, a boat-shaped sashimi platter, and two kinds of namero. After a soak in the probably hot spring bath, I couldn't stop sweating, then had a bottle of beer. The chef and his wife were friendly and smiled whenever we spoke to them, while giving us space otherwise. It was a very satisfying trip, and I'd like to stay again.
