Gensen Itto Minamiizu

The large bath was the highlight for us. Some parts of the private bath still seemed to be under preparation, though, so I hope they finish those areas in time. Dinner and breakfast were both tasty. The five-kind sashimi platter at dinner looked impressive and stayed with me, although I wasn’t sure the sashimi needed to be cooked on hot stone. We came as a family and found the room spacious, with a lovely view of Aono River from the window. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a comfortable stay. The building has a calm feel, but a few spots are dim and there are small steps, so watch your footing. It felt like a quiet place more suited to adults, and we were able to take things slowly. Thank you.
