The worst part of my six-night stay was the lack of room cleaning. They emptied the trash and left two bottles of water each day, but didn’t take away used towels or make the bed. Getting the sheets changed midway through the stay seemed impossible unless I begged. At HKD2000 a night, that’s ridiculous. I’ve never stayed in a hotel without daily cleaning. With winter demand so high, it seems like they can do whatever they want and still get away with it. The staff were friendly and did their best to meet my needs despite being busy. Sandy, the shuttle driver, was especially responsible and caring. I was traveling alone, and when I arrived she went out of her way to carry my heavy luggage into the lobby. Her kindness and professionalism made me feel safe and welcome in a foreign country. The hotel is directly connected to Ishiuchi Maruyama ski resort, which is well managed, with newly renovated facilities and a great view of the nearby city. The hotpot was tasty and generous, and the basement drying room and washing machines were handy.

Hotel Justice is in a convenient spot for visiting the ski resort, and the restaurant on site has a good range of choices for after a day on the slopes. It was easy to communicate here too, since the hotel is Chinese-speaking friendly. What really made the trip for us was the owner’s care. They went out of their way to help resolve every issue we ran into, which gave us peace of mind. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone coming to Yuzawa for skiing or a holiday.

Breakfast was okay, though it could still be better. The stay was very expensive, and it was uncomfortable having to share the shower and lavatory since neither was in the room. There’s no parking nearby either, so if you arrive by car, you have a long walk.

The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was awesome. It’s easy to reach from Route 17, and the train station and a convenience store are not far away. I only stayed one night, but I’d definitely come back.

The Yungparunas onsen hot springs were wonderful, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Our room stayed warm thanks to a strong heater, and the sheets were fresh and clean. The hotel felt cosy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite, and spoke English extremely well.
