I was really happy with my stay. Hope I can come back soon.
Good enough for a short stay.
The inn is simple and has the basics, and you can head to Kofu for a hot spring bath if you want to unwind. There’s no convenience store within walking distance, though a vending machine stands in front of reception. You can bring things to keep in the room refrigerator, and the yukata is crisp and feels great. This was my second visit, for the morning service at Kuonji Temple. The small, cozy inn is unpretentious, and the landlady is kind and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner are included, which I’m truly grateful for. There was a good range of dishes, hot and cold, including sashimi. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Kuonji Temple.
The owner is humble and easy to talk to, and her food is wonderful. She may not say much, but you can feel her sincerity in the cooking and in everything she wants to express through it. I found myself savoring every bite. If you come to Minobu, I highly recommend stopping by.
