Hakoya

The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated, so they're easy to use, and we had a comfortable stay. The walls are the color of the sea, which makes the inside feel calm and welcoming. Even though there are quite a few buildings nearby, it's quiet, and the window looks out over the Seto Inland Sea from the top of a gentle slope. I could sit and relax and lose track of time. The underfloor heating was a nice touch this time of year.

It was comfortable and easy to relax in, and I'd come again. From the Japanese-style room you can see the ocean. The place is a long way from town, with no shops around, but I picked up groceries at the supermarket beforehand, so that wasn't a problem. At first it looks like an old Japanese house, like your grandma's place, but the floors, kitchen, and bathroom have all been nicely redone. ☺️

The house has been renovated beautifully, and the bathroom is spacious and comfortable. Still, we ran into a lot of insects, centipedes included. Maybe it was the season. We all grew up knowing the countryside, so we were okay, but I wonder how someone raised in the city would feel. The drive up to the house is pretty steep, and the parking area only fits two cars. If it's full, you have to leave the car in a field by the main road and walk up a steep hill, which is tough with a lot of luggage.

The quiet surroundings made it easy to unwind, and the place was clean and comfortable. But there were no chairs, so we mostly had to sit on the floor. That was hard for my elderly father, for me since I'm overweight, and even for my son in his twenties. There are lots of steps, so it isn't very accessible. There's no TV either. There is a projector and screen, but you'll need the right equipment or you won't be able to project anything.
