This was my fourth visit to this beautiful place, and it felt just as magical as I remembered. The first time I came, the property was still being built. Delays meant I couldn't stay then, but even at that point I sensed a special warmth and quiet elegance that stayed with me. The design and all the little details caught my eye as soon as we arrived. Driving the adorable Grand Bleu Gamin rental car was fun too, and it turned heads wherever we went. I've stayed here three times, and the staff are always kind and welcoming, whether Chef Kinoshita is there or away. They make the whole place feel relaxed and heartfelt. This visit was to say goodbye before Chef Kinoshita left overseas, and it happened to be his birthday as well. With the lovely staff's help, we surprised him with a secret birthday plate. It was such a touching, unforgettable moment. The food is always full of flavor, creativity, and a playful spirit. They remembered what we liked before and adjusted the dishes to suit us. My wife has food allergies, and the care and precision they showed with everything moved her deeply. I still love the private path to the beach, which the staff made by hand before the opening. The plants they planted together have grown beautifully and greet us with their greenery. There's now a new Rosewood building on the right side of the beach, which has changed the shoreline a little, though the view somehow feels even more charming. On our previous visit, I found out that the mysterious nearby forest is actually a small shrine. This time the staff prepared offerings and incense so we could pay our respects. It was a peaceful, spiritual experience. Our daughter had a wonderful time in the pool, and even the toothbrushes, the one thing I'd thought could be improved, have been redesigned and are now absolutely adorable. Their thoughtfulness shows in every detail. We left grateful, with full hearts and the motivation to work hard so we can come back.

The restaurant takes European influences and gives them its own spin, with local ingredients at the heart of it. An amazing choice among Okinawa's restaurants.

We chose well for our first dinner on the island! We weren't staying at the hotel, though it looked beautiful and would have been lovely, but the professional staff welcomed us in. We had an amazing meal with our family, and I highly recommend the restaurant.

I've eaten at Grand Bleu Gamin more than 10 times, and every visit brings a new set of courses that fit together beautifully. The staff can suggest an excellent wine pairing for each one. They've also accommodated friends I've brought who had dietary needs or preferences, like no shellfish or fried ingredients. There are counter seats and private dining rooms, and it's the kind of place I'd happily make a tradition of visiting again and again. The mood is elegant but relaxed, and everyone on staff is incredibly welcoming. On my first night there, I had the full-course dinner at the counter, with the chef cooking right in front of me. The ingredients were high quality, the recipes creative, and the presentation beautiful. The seasonal courses are led by a renowned international chef trained in France, who brought that technique back to Japan and refined it into an elegant fusion cuisine. I've brought friends from New York, Paris, and Tokyo, and they were all impressed by the dining experience. Grand Bleu Gamin is my absolute favorite restaurant and resort on Miyakojima.

I had a late birthday lunch with my daughter at the restaurant today, and we came away with such lovely memories. The cooking brings out the quality of local ingredients, with the chef's finesse showing in every dish. It was a healthy, satisfying meal. The staff were efficient, clean, friendly, and polite, and they speak several languages. 10/10 ❤️ Highly recommend!
