I’d gladly stay here again when I’m back in Miyazaki. The inn has an old feel, and some facilities are broken, but it’s cared for and that impressed me. The hot spring is tiny, though the water has the slippery feel I like, so I was very happy with it. When I checked out early, nobody was at the desk and I didn’t know what to do. A child who seemed elementary-school age came over and quickly called their mother, which was a real comfort. Maybe it’s run by a family?

The bath only holds about four people, but I picked a quiet time and got to enjoy it by myself. It was a great soak. I was in a clean, comfortable 8-tatami Japanese-style room with a wide veranda, and the place had the feel of a traditional business inn.

Free parking was handy, and there’s a 7-Eleven and coin laundry right next door. The hotel is a little way from downtown Miyazaki City, but still walkable. It’s an older place, though it has a hot spring bath. The bathing hours felt a bit short, but having a hot spring was lovely.

The spring water was nice. I expected it to be lukewarm, but felt quite hot after getting out, so perhaps it holds heat well. The large public bath seems to be a selling point, though it was smaller and older than I expected, and I took off a star for that. The hotel has the feel of a family-run guesthouse, and apparently sports clubs also use it for training camps. The rooms are average.

The staff were good, and I like this hotel enough to count it among my favorites. The meals are generous too. The facilities are old, though when I say old, I mean around 4-5 years, not that long ago. ☆4
