The Gran Resort Amanohashidate

The spacious room with a balcony, majestic view, and great service made up for the facility being a bit outdated. My European husband really liked the soft bed :) The bathhouse was a little old too, but we much preferred it to a tiny shower with hardly any room to move. We loved staying here and would definitely come back. For reference, there’s a microwave in the lobby, and the room has a fridge and electric kettle. It came with the amenities, including a toothbrush and Yukatas.

You’ll need a car to stay here and explore amanohashidate. With that in mind, this place exceeded my expectations, even though I’d been a bit worried about booking it. Every room has an amazing sea view. The receptionist speaks English and Mandarin, and the manager helped us book a different restaurant each night. Breakfast each morning was very good value. I’d come back again.

The room was nice and clean, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and the public bath was cozy with all the amenities. Best of all, the view from our room was spectacular, with a 180c sea view. The room price was very reasonable, too. Loved every minute here and hope to return with my whole family.

The room on the third floor, which I requested, had a nicer view, though it could probably sleep six people. It was nice, clean, and relaxing. This is a traditional Japanese hotel with a shared bath, or Yu. Stores and transport close early, around 7pm, so plan to get things done before then. There are only a few restaurants nearby open after 8pm. It’s a good setup if you have a car, rental car, or bicycle, but less convenient for commuting. Check the directions and bus schedule. From the hotel facing east, the right-hand way goes to Ine, and the left goes to Miyazu/Amanohashidate station.
