Ala MAHAINA CONDO HOTEL

Breakfast was a healthy Japanese-Western selection with a range of Okinawan ingredients, and the hotel was comfortable for different kinds of stays at a reasonable price. The room was spacious, with a broad ocean view. At night, I sat on the balcony looking at the sea and could hear some nice music from locals performing in the plaza below.

It’s good value for the money, and there are plenty of places to eat right outside, along with gift shops, Starbucks, and Blue Seal Ice Cream. The location is a little out of the way, but works perfectly if you’re heading to the Aquarium or Kouri Island. The room is very spacious, nearly twice the size of hotels on Kokusai Street, and has a simple kitchenette.

Those views! This was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. The staff were friendly, the place was super clean, rooms were huge, and the value was amazing. Breakfast was delicious too. My only complaint would be the hard beds, though that’s fairly common compared with Western tastes. I’d love to come back.

A handy hotel for a stopover near the aquarium. You can make several aquarium visits on the same ticket if you want to catch the feeding times.
