Wisteria Condominium Resort

There are a couple of restaurants right next to the building, and the aquarium is so close you could practically throw a stone to it. There’s no staff at night, and you don’t need a card to enter the building. If that’s fine with you, it’s a decent, affordable hotel or condo in a good location.

The balcony is the big draw. It’s large, and the view is amazing, whether you’re having a beer at sunset or looking out over the blue horizon. The fifth floor has the best view, and 501 is probably the best corner room. Cleanliness and upkeep let us down. There was hair on the floor and in corners, a stain on the otherwise fairly clean bathroom fittings, and dust on the ceiling fan. I care about those things, so the rating is low. It’s a condominium and isn’t serviced and maintained like some of the great hotels nearby that have a slightly inferior view.

The host came to let us in even though we arrived after the 7pm check-in hours. We got there by public transport around 9pm, though, and the three-minute walk from the bus stop felt dark and spooky. The rooms were clean and the view was good. There’s a microwave, basic kitchen utensils, and a rice cooker if you want to make food. Family mart is a five-minute walk away, but there was only one or two restaurants open within walking distance. Emerald beach and the aquarium are about 1-1.5 kms away.

The room was spotless and had a little kitchen, plus even a small bathtub. The hotel is really close to the aquarium, and the ocean view is awesome.
