Muroran Plaza Hotel

My room on the 6th floor had a nice view out to the JR tracks, and the smell of tatami was soothing. The building is old, but it was very clean. It felt like good value, and the hot spring bath is a plus. I liked it better than the nearby business hotel I stayed at last week. One heads-up: adult channels are free on the TV. I was reading with a regular channel on, then rolled over in bed and accidentally hit 11ch on the remote. The sudden adult sounds startled me. The Wi-Fi was pretty weak.

The room was quiet, and I couldn't hear anything from the next room. It was clean and well maintained, and the price was reasonable, so I was satisfied. I stayed in December, when Muroran is windy and the temperature was below zero. A draft in the room was a bit of an issue. The air conditioner helped, but...

The natural hot spring was great, and I could stretch out my arms and legs. The front desk was very helpful, and the lady in the dining room was lovely and always happy to chat. She sent me off in a good mood. I was there on a business trip in a Japanese-style room on the 6th floor. With my bad back, a Western-style room would've suited me better. The smell of the old man was overwhelming.

I left right away. The hall smelled fishy, and the room had a heavy odor even though it was non-smoking. The large public bath was old and dirty, nothing like the photos on Google Maps. Wind kept whistling through gaps in the windows, making the place feel eerie.
