The guesthouse was warm and very clean throughout, with large private bathrooms. They've put a lot into making it feel homely, and there's free coffee and tea available all day. Kenyi, his wife and the staff were welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Before our stay Kenji emailed and helped us book some local dinner spots, and each morning we had a tasty cooked breakfast. They also gave us tokens for discounted lift passes and picked us up from the train station. Akakura Kanko lift is just across the road. Thanks for a great experience, I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Kenji's family were so attentive during my wonderful weeklong ski trip. They even helped me reserve a restaurant in advance. The room was spacious, the bed comfy and the breakfasts delicious. The guesthouse is directly opposite the Kanko gondola, with a bus stop for other ski areas right there too.

They also offer transfers, and it's a great option for skiing in Japan 🇯🇵. The owners are lovely, the rooms are a good size and the breakfast is good. Perfect location.

Kenji and the family were so nice. It's the best local Japanese lodge I've ever stayed in, and I'll miss sitting up at the bar talking with them.
