We loved the quiet little seaside neighborhood, and the house has a lovely view of its large traditional garden. It’s just a two-minute walk to the sea, and there’s a parking spot right at the house. Inside, there’s plenty of room, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable futons and sofa, and strong internet throughout. Having two toilets and lots of hangers for drying laundry was handy too. The owner was friendly and helpful. We’d recommend it completely. :)

The Japanese garden and nearby beach are lovely, and staying in this old wooden house built by the landlord’s ancestors felt like being in a home, not a holiday flat. It’s spacious and better equipped than most places. The host was very friendly and helpful. A great way to experience traditional rural Japan.

Across the road there’s access to a sandy beach with wonderfully fine sand, and the house itself is a huge old place with a large, mature Japanese garden and a lot of history. We were glad to find this hidden homestay. The host was incredibly friendly. There aren’t many restaurants nearby, but a Lawson and family mart are a short drive away, so getting food wasn’t a big hassle. There’s also a full kitchen if you want to cook.

The beach is only about 100 m away, with clean, shallow water. The house is around 100 years old and Japanese style, with tatami-floored rooms and futon beds. It was super clean and has a nice Japanese garden. We thought it was awesome.
