Hotel Wakasato

I never stayed here. My father got a voicemail from someone who had mistaken him for a guest who wasn’t coming, so he called back to explain the mix-up. They hung up without even thanking him for calling. The person who made the prank reservation was awful, but I also don’t think a hotel in the service business should respond that way. I wish I hadn’t called.

They start cleaning at 9am even though checkout is at 10. Still, it’s a pretty good place to stay.

I’d been disappointed by the listing saying there was no fridge, but there actually is one. My room also had Wi-Fi and air conditioning I could adjust myself. The only thing missing was a washlet, at least in my room. It was enough for me.

I’ve stayed here several times during long work trips. The owner isn’t friendly, and the bathwater smelled bad. My room didn’t have a fridge, just a shared one in the hallway. The food was okay, the rice average, and the side dishes disappointing. One handy thing: you can hang laundry in the boiler room, where it dries well.
