Basic, but good if you want an izakaya nearby.

The room felt old, but the staff and service were both great.

I booked a non-smoking room for a work trip, and the room was spacious, with plenty of room for bags and a table to set them on. Maybe being away from the station is why the rooms feel so roomy. I've stayed in lots of business hotels, and this one is among the best quality-wise. The staff were very polite, which made the stay comfortable. The amenities were a pleasant surprise. The shampoo and conditioner were really good, the razor was very good, and the lotions seemed to leave me feeling refreshed. I also thought the breakfast buffet looked nicer than at other hotels, like it was a cut above. I think the dessert jelly was carbonated, and it tasted good. It looks like there's a large public bath in a separate facility, which I plan to try next time. For Nagano City, I'd recommend this place, though you'll have to weigh the accommodation cost.

The service and hospitality were really polite and good. The room was clean and nice, though I found it a little hot inside. Breakfast was the best part, with a good range of buffet choices. There aren't many shops nearby, so getting around on foot could be difficult.
