With the whole house to ourselves, we had complete privacy in the middle of gorgeous nature. At night there were no lights around, so the sky was full of stars. I even spotted a shooting star. The private sauna was unforgettable: we sweated it out, cooled off in the cold bath, then relaxed and enjoyed the view. We were beginners, but getting the fire going for both the sauna and BBQ grill was easy, so it was all fun and stress-free. The owner was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from arrival to departure. Inside was spotless and comfortable, too. This was one of my best stays in Japan, and I’ll definitely come back!

We went at the end of December and start of January, and although it was freezing outside, the cabin was warm and cosy. It’s tucked away in the mountains, a beautifully preserved old workshop with a modern interior and amenities. There’s a wood-fired sauna and fire pit, plus a BBQ if you want to hire one. Our host was friendly and accommodating :) Highly recommended.

We spent December 27-29, 2025, at Tsuji Oooka, a remote but beautiful mountain house in the Japanese Alps. There was nobody around, and all four of us, a family from Portugal, loved being able to relax in such a cosy, warm place with everything we needed for a comfortable stay away from everyone. Yuki took care of everything with great attention to detail, and we really appreciated it. The electronic equipment was fantastic as well. Congratulations, and thanks for everything. We had total privacy in a beautiful spot, and the accommodation was tastefully done. The host made us feel very welcome. We had a great time on the bike tour, exploring the local area with Uchida san, and the nearby onsen had an amazing view. We’ll definitely be back!

The snow-covered scenery around the house was beautiful, and we spent a relaxing evening watching the stars. I’ve heard they’re even prettier in autumn, so I’d like to come back during the fall colors. I visited with a friend, and we found the interior very clean, with lots of thoughtful touches. Refa was available, the tableware was cute, and the latest home appliances were a nice bonus. We had a wonderful, comfortable stay. Thank you so much!
