The manga library is on the ground floor, and you can get to the Italian restaurant from inside the hotel. It’s also an easy walk to Nagano station. The rooms are fairly spacious, and guests can use the public bath and sauna for free. They’re separated by gender, as is customary in Japan. The staff were friendly and mostly helpful, though getting an extra pillow seemed to be too much to ask.
The baths have a setup I found interesting, with one warm and one cold, plus a sauna. My room was really nice, especially the bed and cushions, and breakfast was solid. There’s a manga library too.
There’s purified water on every floor, which came in handy, and the beds were pleasantly firm. The lobby has loads of manga and action figures, plus a cute little robot that wanders around. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were really nice. The baths were great, and the place felt quiet and clean-smelling. Great location, too. If you’re not used to separate laundry rooms, these are divided by gender and located near the baths.
Spica the lovot is adorable. She sometimes wanders around the manga books area when she isn’t resting. We slept really well in the room, and the temperature was comfortable enough that I never needed to turn on the heating. The pillows were comfortable, with two kinds available in the room.
The luggage storage was secure and convenient for the bags we didn’t need during the day, both before check-in and after checkout. It’s the best storage facility I’ve ever used, and the staff were fantastic. The rooms were very clean and tidy, though a little squishy for two people.
