The bar is what gives this place its character. It’s lively and welcoming, and people end up chatting and swapping stories. Haruka is a big part of that atmosphere. She speaks fluent English and really cares about making everyone feel at ease. The building’s design and decor are stunning, with lovely surprises like the rooftop and the incredible sauna. The rooms are pretty ordinary, but you probably won’t spend much time in them anyway ;)

The sauna setup is fantastic, with a cold pool to cool off in and an outdoor area. The boar curry was delicious too. This is the coolest hostel I’ve stayed at. The rooms are basic, but fine for a budget night’s sleep. I do think the sauna should be priced per person instead of per group, or at least offer a discount for one person, maybe 1000 yen instead of 3300.

We only dropped in for drinks, a little pool, and some Shisha with friends we were travelling with, but it was a chilled place to hang out. Loved the decor and atmosphere, and the service was great. Nothing to complain about.

The lounge is the real standout, with a pool table, heated bench, sculpted alcove, and even a climbing wall. You won’t want to spend time in your room! It’s about a 10-minute walk from Nagano station, which is handy if you arrive there. The beds are comfy and private, with a really cozy blanket, and the staff are excellent and friendly.
