Hotel LALA minato

The internet has been frustrating this year. YouTube won’t connect sometimes, or it freezes halfway through. Cleaning could be much better too: there’s hair under the table and bed, and the pink scale in the bathroom is awful. When I order food, especially fried dishes, it seems they make the alcoholic drinks first instead of waiting until the food is ready, so the ice in the mugs is often melted. One woman on staff is rude when taking bookings and answering calls. Maybe they’re short-staffed? I was also shocked to find the website’s 20% off coupon had disappeared! 💦

The air conditioning was broken, and there wasn’t even room for a refrigerator. The complimentary drinks were tiny, and the breakfast cocoa was weak, mostly water. Worst of all, the room clearly hadn’t been cleaned, with a stranger’s hair and blood on the bed. For this price, it was awful. I’m never coming back.

It’s an old place, but there wasn’t any dirt or dust, and the room itself wasn’t noisy. I could hear voices from outside, though. The refrigerator made noise, and for some reason the lights did too, so I switched them off and went to sleep.

The front desk people were lovely, really kind and pleasant, and their service helped make up for the unpleasant experience I had ordering food. The person who brought it to my room was the problem. They were silent and unfriendly, and I was left wondering what was going on. Since some mistake on their part meant we had to meet face-to-face in the room, I think they should at least have apologized. The menu is pretty limited, so I hope they expand it. The young staff... what a shame. I’m giving it three stars and hoping things improve.
