Nagoya Sakae Washington Hotel Plaza

The staff are really nice. For a rental car taller than 1.55 m, you can use Toyo Parking Building. It costs 1,500 yen, updated in December 2025.

The price is fine, and although the room is small, it has what I need. You can choose a pillow on the first floor. The hair dryer is old and small, so bring your own if you have room in your bag. I couldn't immediately find the light or air conditioner controls: the light uses a remote, and the air conditioning adjuster is nearby. If cigarette smell bothers you, don't book a smoking room. You can smell it starting in the hallway, though it didn't bother me.

We got a slightly larger room, and it was clean. The hotel was much cheaper than others in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, even calling the next hotel we'd be staying at to pass along our meal requirement. I'd give it a try.

The room was spacious enough, and parking is available. You can collect your amenities in the lobby. The staff were friendly and very helpful, though I found the pillow too firm. It can get a little noisy outside in the morning.
