Tokyo Daiichi Hotel Nishiki

We stayed Friday night, two people, for ¥8,030 without breakfast. The facility is older, but clean, with convenient access, plenty of amenities, a comfortable bed, enough space, and a fairly quiet room. The staff were very polite and the service was great. There's also a convenience store on the first floor. The shower pressure was good, but its temperature kept fluctuating. The closet was extremely tight, and there was no coffee. A good option for budget travelers.

The room was lovely and very clean, and the staff were attentive. Sakae station is just a few steps away, putting you right near the center of everything. The downside is that there are a lot of drunks hanging around the area at night.

There are lots of restaurants and konbini nearby, along with a cheap yen shop and a maid cafe for anyone who likes those. The location is apparently near Nagoya station, which is a plus. The triple room was okay, with one pillow per bed, which felt like too few. The bathroom was clean and typical of an average Japanese hotel, but quite small. All the rooms are smoking rooms, so they smell of smoke. There's green tea in the room, but no coffee. The reception staff can't speak English, and there isn't a takeaway breakfast option if you can't make the 7-10 am breakfast. I'd rate it 3/5, just okay.

The view over the roof of another building really wasn't nice. Still, the room was surprisingly nice, with a sofa, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it was pretty good, though a little girly.
