Naha Tokyu REI Hotel

Getting around is easy from here: the covered walkway leads to monorail station 6, and the main shopping street is three stops away at station 9. We rated the location 8/10. Rooms are spacious, though the sheets are old, and the desk staff respond promptly but speak very little English. The room faced a casino and some roads, so balcony noise was noticeable with the door open; with it shut, the noise stayed contained. Rooms aren't cleaned automatically unless you ask. There are free drinks each day after 3pm. There's no hotel parking, so you have to use the lot across the road. It charges a maximum of 1,500 yen from 3pm to 10am. Give your ticket to the desk and they'll process it, then the exit machine should show 1,500 yen. With only two elevators, it helps to come and go outside busy times. Checkout is at 10am.

The hotel was kept spotless, and breakfast offered plenty of choice. A couple of staff members spoke good English and were very hospitable. We were visiting from North America and appreciated the service. As tourists, we also learned and practiced the local respectful customs to fit in. Excellent hotel!

For getting around Okinawa without a rental car, this is a great base. The Monorail and Naha Bus Terminal are both within walking distance, and the room felt spacious for the price. It's a bright, clean chain hotel, with really friendly staff. They also hold a daily lobby event where local alcohol is served. A really good value choice for a visit to Okinawa.

The room was clean and came with lots of amenities, and you can pick up extra free amenities in the lobby on the fourth floor. A covered overhead bridge connects the hotel with the monorail and bus terminal, which is handy in rainy weather. They offer local soft drinks for free until midnight, plus free awamori from 3 to 6pm.
