Nishitetsu Resort Inn Naha

The rooms were beautiful, and the staff were helpful. The only thing that bothered me a little was that the bathroom was the only place with a window, so I had to close the curtains when bathing or using the toilet.

The service was friendly and good, but the hotel felt quite run down once past the lobby. There were stains on the room sofa, and the room was generally dusty. Dust was also visible in the bathroom ventilation and on the hallway AC. We used the laundry facilities, which were okay, except the tumble dryer filter didn’t look like it was cleaned regularly. We stayed for two nights.

We were there on Oct 13, during Matsuri, and it made sense that the larger rooms were already booked. Our room felt a little small for four people, but it was clean and neat, and worked well as our last stop in Okinawa. The location was terrific, close to a YUI RAIL station and RYUBO Department Store, and about a 10-15 minute walk from Kokusai Dori. Thanks to the lady at the counter for helping us pre-check in, arranging a room that suited us, and sharing lots of Matsuri information. We’re also grateful to the man who answered our call at night and tried hard to find a small chair for the bathroom, which would make bathing the kids much easier. Thanks to the hotel and its enthusiastic staff.

Toothbrushes, combs, cotton buds, shower caps, and similar items aren’t in the rooms, but you can pick up what you need in the lobby at check-in or later. The rooms themselves were decent, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is Japanese-style, with pastries, toast, cereal, salad, and several drinks as well. The hotel is fairly close to the airport and easy to reach on the limousine bus from Naha airport. Palette Kumonji is an easy walk, and there are a few restaurants nearby too.
