It's a gorgeous little hotel, and we spent a week there in October. For half of our stay, we were the only guests. The owner and young staff were extremely helpful. You can choose between Western and Japanese rooms. The upstairs rooms have balconies about 15 m from the water, where you can hear the waves if you like. The owner cooks and checks whether guests are happy with his menu suggestions. We preferred the Japanese sets and food to the international hot-stone fish and meat. There's a small beach nearby, plus a little diving and waterski school, but not much else around. It's not suited to party people; if you're after somewhere mostly quiet with a sea breeze, it's perfect. You can get here from Naha by public bus in roughly three hours, with buses about once an hour.

I loved having the ocean as the main view; it really made the trip. The place was clean, comfortable, and well organized. It’s a bit out of the way, so having a car is more convenient. Great if you’re after some quiet time listening to the sea.

For the price, this is a great spot right by the water. You can kayak along the river that opens into the sea, or go swimming and snorkeling among colorful tropical fish and coral. There’s a nice terrace for barbecuing, too.

The nearby beaches were wonderful, though I wasn’t as impressed by the hotel. There was early morning construction, and breakfast was instant food and fried dishes. The site advertised bicycle rentals, but they weren’t available anymore. A bus stop is about a 20-30 minute walk away, so a rental car would make getting around the islands much easier.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the hotel sits right by the ocean with lovely views. Getting there means taking a steep, narrow road. Make sure to reserve dinner ahead of time, or you’ll be relying on convenience stores. A nice place for a break.
